“USPKS at New Castle Motorsports Park this weekend”
It has been a long time coming, but Ryan Shehan is set to make his return to national karting this weekend. Travelling from his home in Texas to Central Indiana, Shehan will race with Team Crosslink in the United States Pro Kart Series Hoosier Grand Prix at the ultra-fast New Castle Motorsports Park. Competing only forty-five minutes away from the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Shehan hopes to return to the top of the podium much like he has done so in local and regional level action since his incident in late January.
“This will be a true test to see where I stand, how I feel, and what I need to work on for future events at New Castle,” expressed Shehan. “I have worked hard both on and off the track with my coaches and mechanic to get back up to speed both locally and regionally, and I am ready to get after it again on the national stage.”
Moving up to the senior ranks, Shehan will pilot a Team Crosslink Exprit chassis in his quest for race wins and podium results. Taking part in the 2020 United States Pro Kart Series opener this weekend, Shehan is also looking forward to the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour events at the same facility next month, as well as SKUSA’s SuperNats Shootout and SuperNationals, ROK’s ROK Sonoma and ROK the RIO, and other events around the country.
Shehan added, “The goal is to always win and set myself up for the next event and the next step in my career development. I am working on gaining as much experience as possible to better myself for the future.”
Competing at the highest level of karting takes support and Ryan Shehan would like to thank Team Crosslink, OTK USA, Lucky Designs, Stilo Helmets, Sean Owens, Christian Boudon, John Russell and the rest of his support crew for the continued support in 2020.
