“Shehan becomes Stilo Brand Ambassador”
March 18, 2020 – Set to return to the seat of a race kart tomorrow, less than two months after a terrifying testing incident, Team Crosslink driver Ryan Shehan has inked a deal with Stilo Helmets. Awarded the title of Brand Ambassador, the return of Shehan will see him sport a Stilo Helmet as he moves forward in his motorsports career.
“I credit Stilo for not only protecting my head, but saving my life,” explained Shehan, less than 24 hours before his reintroduction to a racing kart. “The helmet did its job, and I am thankful for that. Since the incident, I have been in contact with Jay Braxton at Stilo and personally thanked him for supplying such a high-quality product. Jay quickly made me a Brand Ambassador and provided me with a new helmet and rib protector.”
Charlie James, Sr. Vice President of Marketing for Stilo Helmets, USA stated, “Stilo Helmets is very proud to be a part of Ryan’s story. We appreciate the fact that both Ryan and his parents have faith in our helmets offering the highest level of protection and quality. The outcome of Ryan’s accident could have been quite different and his speedy return to karting is a testament to Stilo’s commitment to racer safety. Our goal is to pay close attention to fine details that make our helmets the safest and best in auto racing today. We look forward to a safe and successful future with Ryan.”
With an extensive schedule set upon his return, Shehan will promote, push and sport the Stilo Helmet and gear whenever he gets behind the wheel of a kart, and car in the future.
“You never forget the people that help you when times are tough,” added Doug Shehan, father of Ryan. “The motorsports industry has been incredible and at the top of the list of our supporters is Jay and Stilo, an incredible company with great products and huge hearts.”
